Vapor-liquid-liquid equilibria of pentafluoroethane and ionic liquid [bmim][P[F.sub.6]] mixtures studied with the volumetric method
Article Abstract:
The vapor-liquid-liquid equilibria (VLLE) of binary systems, such as water + 2-butanol and 1-butanol + 1-butyl-3-methylimidazolium hexafluorophosphate ([bmim][P[F.sub.6]]), is investigated by using a simple volumetric method. The results have revealed that large negative excess molar volumes can occur for binary mixtures of hydrofluorocarbon (HFC) gases such as pentafluoroethane (R-125) and also C[O.sub.2] in ionic liquids.

Factors controlling the drop evaporation constant
Article Abstract:
The factors affecting drop evaporation was described. Two processes are included in drop evaporation which are diffusion of liquid molecules into the air (diffusion part) and flow of the liquid molecules from inside the drop to the free outer shell liquid layer within the liquid-vapor interface (evaporation part), and the evaporation part was an active factor and determined the differences in drop evaporation behaviors.

Monte Carlo simulation of equilibrium reactions at vapor-liquid interfaces
Article Abstract:
The characterization and understanding of reaction behavior at interface by modeling three equilibrium-limited chemical reactions at their vapor-liquid (V-L) interfaces is presented. Simple dimerization reactions and more complex multicomponent reactions are modeled using the reactive Monte Carlo (RxMC) simulate technique.
